Prior to joining Solomon Partners, Ben founded and managed BXK Capital, an investment advisor to two private, multi-asset hedge funds, investing in innovation across the full spectrum of the energy value chain. He began his investment banking career at Whitehall & Company, executing on both investment banking and capital markets mandates in the emerging areas of utility-scale renewables, energy storage, midstream oil & gas, and core-plus infrastructure.
Ben earned an MSc in Management Science (Decision Sciences) from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also holds a BA in Economics with a focus in Mathematics from the University of Miami.
Served as M&A and restructuring advisor to Ares on its sale of Newark Energy Center, a 705 MW Combined Cycle Facility in PJM PS-North, to Hartree Partners
