Eric Bormel joined Solomon Partners in 2013 and is a Vice President in its Healthcare Group.


Over his 10 years of experience, Eric has represented both public and private companies on a variety of assignments including buy-side, sell-side, merger, deSPAC and licensing transactions as well as debt and equity financings.

Most recently, Eric advised sleep apnea wearable manufacturer ProSomnus on its merger with a SPAC, pharmacy benefit manager Prime Therapeutics on its acquisition of Magellan Rx from Centene Corporation, pharmacy enablement platform Truepill on its Series D investment, healthcare analytics platform Panalgo on its sale to Welsh Carson and Hg-backed MMIT & Evaluate and Under Armour, Inc. on its sale of its digital health platform MyFitnessPal to Francisco Partners.

Prior thereto, Eric advised L.L Bean on its debt refinancing, HBC on its sale of Lord + Taylor to Le Tote, Five Below on its acquisition of select digital assets and its investment in N3rd Street Gaming, Payless ShoeSource on its Chapter 11 restructuring, VF Corporation on its sale of Reef to The Rockport Group, HBC on sale of real estate assets to and formation of JV with Signa Holdings to operate Kaufhof and Karstadt, Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc. on its recapitalization, Skullcandy, Inc on its sale to Mill Road Capital, Office Depot, Inc. on its sale to Staples, Inc. (terminated) and Under Armour, Inc. on its acquisition of digital fitness platform MapMyFitness and global marketing transactions.

Furthermore, his clients, past and present, include Apollo Global Management, CirrusMD, Healthpoint Capital, Kering SA, Monro Muffler Brake, Inc., Oak HC/FT, Optum Ventures, Silversmith Capital Partners, Transformation Capital Partners, TSG Consumer Partners, VF Corp. and PVH Corp.


Eric holds a BBA, with distinction, from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
