Nader Masarweh is a Director in Infrastructure, Power & Renewables. He joined the firm in 2018.
Nader has over 11 years of M&A experience in the power sector, specializing in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raising initiatives.
Representative transactions include advising:
- Ardian on the sale of the Hill Top Energy Center, a 620 MW CCGT in PJM, to Blackstone
- LS Power on the sale of a 13 GW premier power generation portfolio to NRG Energy
- GenOn on the sale of the Ellwood, a 54 MW peaker in CAISO, to Rockland Capital
- Macquarie on the sale of Lordstown Energy Center, a 940 MW CCGT in PJM, to ArcLight Capital Partners
- GenOn on the sale of Bowline, a 1.2 GW peaking facility in NYISO Zone G, to Rockland Capital
- Earthrise Energy on the acquisitions of a 984 MW peaking portfolio in PJM and 773 MW peaking portfolio in MISO
- Ares and Oaktree on the sale of a 28% interest in the 972 MW Linden Cogeneration facility to EGCO
- US Wind Inc on the sale of minority interest and convertible debt to Apollo
- Astoria Project Partners and Astoria Project Partners II on the sale of Astoria Energy I and interests in Astoria Energy II, respectively, representing a pair of 615 MW combined cycle facilities in NYISO Zone J
Prior to joining Solomon Partners, Nader worked at Marathon Capital, where he advised on numerous power and renewable transactions, including platform and asset M&A, structured equity and tax equity capital raises.
Education
Nader holds a BS in Finance from California State University, Sacramento. He is a CFA® charterholder.
