Christopher Moynihan is a Director in Solomon’s M&A Group. He joined the firm in 2014.

Experience

Christopher has more than 10 years of experience advising both public and private companies on transactions involving acquisitions, divestitures and strategic combinations, including mergers, joint ventures and minority investments across all sectors. He has extensive experience advising family-owned businesses, Trusts & Estates and special committees of boards.

Selected advisory assignments include Wilshire on its acquisition of Lyxor U.S. from Amundi, Patient Funding Alternatives’ majority recapitalization with Leonard Green & Partners, Wilshire’s launch of Wilshire Indexes and its strategic partnership with SGX group and the Financial Times, Propex on its sale to Solmax, fairness opinion to the Board of CC Neuberger Principal Holdings II on its merger with Getty Images, Conair Corporation’s sale to American Securities, CC Capital and Motive Partners’ acquisition of Wilshire Associates, Designer Brands refinancing, Steve Madden’s refinanced credit facility, Stein Mart’s sale to Kingswood Capital (terminated), Hibbett’s acquisition of City Gear, Charming Charlie’s recapitalization of its Senior Secured Credit Facility, Stein Mart’s recapitalization of its ABL Facility, Finish Line’s $558 million sale to JD Sports, Vector Media’s sale to Spire Capital, Finish Line’s divestiture of JackRabbit to CriticalPoint Partners, Quiksilver’s restructuring and sale to Oaktree Capital, RevZilla Motorsports investment from J.W. Childs and Proenza Schouler’s minority sale to Castanea Partners.

Education

Chris holds a BA with concentrations in International Relations and Slavic Studies from Brown University.

Not-For-Profit Affiliations

Chris is a Committee Member with The Haitian Project, a nonprofit providing education in Haiti, and Vice Chairman of the Associate Board of Working in Support of Education (W!SE), a nonprofit organization that provides financial education, college and career readiness programs and services to students, educators and at-risk adults.
