Jeff Jacobs is a Partner, Head of M&A and COO of Investment Banking. He also serves as Head of the Fairness Opinion Committee. He joined Solomon Partners in 2010.
Experience
Jeff has more than 25 years of experience advising clients on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions. He has advised clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, public offerings and private placements.
Selected advisory assignments include representing CC Neuberger II on its $4.8 billion combination with Getty Images, Propex on its sale to Solmax, CC Capital and Motive Partners on their acquisition of Wilshire Associates, Hudson’s Bay Company on its sale of Lord + Taylor to Le Tote, Groupe Rocher on its acquisition of Arbonne International, Nutraceutical on its sale to HGGC, Caesars Acquisition Co on its defense related to the Bankruptcy of Caesars Entertainment Operating Co, London Stock Exchange Group on its acquisition of Russell Investments, the Special Committee of the Board of American Greetings on its going-private transaction, FTSE Group on the formation of a joint venture with TMX Datalinx, Parlux Fragrances on its sale to Perfumania Holdings, E. & J. Gallo Winery on the sale of its Hornsby’s Hard Cider business to C&C Group, Fortune Brands on the sale of its U.S. Wine Business to Constellation Brands, Wipro on its cash tender offer for Infocrossing, Six Flags on the sale of selected theme parks and Kroll on its sale to Marsh & McLennan.
Prior to joining Solomon Partners, Jeff served as a Principal in the M&A group at Compass Advisers and as a Vice President in the M&A groups at Citigroup and previously at Morgan Joseph.
Education
Jeff holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BS in Communications from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
