Solomon Partners Advising Lucky’s Markets on its Sale of Assets to ALDI and Publix

Solomon Partners’ Grocery & Restaurants Group is advising Lucky’s Markets, the specialty grocery chain, on the sale of various stores to ALDI and Publix. ALDI and Publix will be stalking horse bidders in the Lucky’s Chapter 11 filing, which occurred on January 26, 2020.
ALDI, the European discount grocer, has more than 10,000 stores globally, including 1,900 in the US. Publix is the leading grocer in Florida, with more than 1,200 stores in the Southeast US and $38 billion in annual sales.
The Solomon Partners team is being led by group head Scott Moses and includes Managing Director Greg Grambling, Shea Kutner, Irene Nicolae and Grant Kaufman.
