His transaction experience includes Albertsons (on its pending merger with Kroger), Fresh Encounter (on its pending sale to SpartanNash), KKR (on its sale of Cardenas Markets to Heritage Grocers Group / Apollo), El Rancho (on its sale to Heritage Grocers Group / Apollo), Mercatus (on its merger with Stor.ai), Imperfect Foods (on its sale to Misfits Market), Boxed.com (on its sale of Spresso to BlackRock and its merger with Seven Oaks Acquisition Corp.), Price Chopper / Market 32 (on its merger with Tops Markets), Save A Lot (on its ~$1B recapitalization and relicensing sales), Fairway Markets (on its sale of stores to Village Super Market, Amazon, Bogopa and Key Food), Kings Balducci’s (on its sale to Albertsons), Bluegreen Vacations (on its initial public offering), BBX Capital (on its acquisition of IT’SUGAR), Gaiam (on the sale of its Branded Products Division to Sequential Brands Group), Cosmic Fog Vapors (on the sale of a minority stake to Imperial Brands), Lift Brands (on its recapitalization), Natural Habitat Adventures (on its sale to Lindblad Expeditions) and Know How Systems Global (on its sale to Dent Wizard).

Prior to joining Solomon Partners, Mr. Heft worked in the Consumer & Retail Group at Stifel.

Joshua holds a BA in Economics and International Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
