Events to Foster Knowledge Sharing and Tech Community Building
For nearly 35 years, Solomon Partners has forged connections within the sectors it serves. To honor and extend this heritage, Solomon Technology is convening a series of events focused on knowledge sharing and community building, with an eye toward helping senior leaders grow and operate more effectively.
In the spring, the team hosted a Corporate Development and Strategy Networking Event for senior software, data, and analytics leaders at Pebble Bar in New York. The event featured insightful opening remarks from Alex Roth, Informa’s Group Director of Strategy & Business Planning, and David Platt, Moody’s Chief Strategic Development Officer.
Following the success of that initial event, the team hosted a subsequent cocktail hour in November, with featured speakers Andrew Cramer, Deputy CFO at News Corp., and Mike Chinn, Partner at Endicott Capital, who previously served as President of S&P Global Market Intelligence and CEO of SNL Financial.
“We are committed to bringing people together from different types of organizations to foster a true cross-pollination of ideas,” commented Craig Muir, Head of Software, Data & Analytics at Solomon. “The events enable attendees to engage with their counterparts across the broad ecosystem to have free-flowing conversations about topics and challenges that many people in our industries grapple with, and to build relationships that can be mutually beneficial.”
In October, Solange Velazquez, Managing Director, hosted a “Senior Women in Tech” dinner, bringing together experienced leaders from technology and private equity to foster connections in industries where women are increasingly assuming senior roles. Invited guests were senior female tech executives from technology-focused private equity firms, including 22C Capital, BVP Forge, GrowthCurve Capital, Hg Capital, and Sumeru Equity Partners, among others.
“I’m proud to work with partners who really invest in their people and prioritize building relationships with industry leaders,” Solange said. “We learn so much when we gather to share ideas. I want to thank all the remarkable women who participated, as well as my Solomon colleagues for helping to organize such a wonderful event. I look forward to hosting again.”
Attendees have praised the events for their ability to foster meaningful connections and provide valuable insights.
Solomon continues to lead the way to foster a collaborative and innovative tech community. With more events planned for the future, including intimate, sector-focused CEO dinners, the Technology group is committed to driving growth and success in the industry. On the agenda for 2025 are dinners for sector leaders in real estate software and financial technology.
