Michael Sellinger is a Partner in Capital Advisory. He joined the firm in 2026.
With over 25 years of experience, Michael advises clients on liability management and restructuring solutions. He works with debtors, creditors, and other stakeholders on liability management transactions, out-of-court restructurings, Chapter 11 filings, and distressed M&A across a wide range of industries.
Most recently, Michael helped build a highly regarded restructuring practice at GLC Advisors (GLCA), an independent boutique investment bank. Prior to GLCA, Michael was a Director in the Restructuring and Growth Capital Groups at UBS in San Francisco, focusing on restructuring of distressed debt, new issuance of bank loans and high yield bonds, and M&A transactions, and covering financial sponsors. Before joining UBS, Michael was an Associate in the Restructuring Group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) / Credit Suisse First Boston in San Francisco. He began his investment banking career as a generalist at DLJ in Los Angeles.
