Juan Guzman is a Partner in Financial Institutions focused on Mortgage Services and Insurance, as well as the broader real estate services sector. He joined the firm in 2025.
Experience
Juan has over 20 years of experience in financial services, advising clients on a diverse range of transactions including M&A, capital raising, valuations and special committee assignments in the US and globally. Prior to joining Solomon Partners, Juan was a Managing Director in the Financial Services Group at Houlihan Lokey focused on the mortgage services and insurance sectors.

Prior to his role at Houlihan Lokey, Juan served clients across the financial institutions and financial technology sectors at Blackstone Advisory Partners including Aviva sale of River Road Asset Management to AMG, Greenoaks Global Holdings insurance company capitalization and NYSE Euronext sale to Intercontinental Exchange. Before joining Blackstone in 2011, Juan worked in the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions group for Prudential, where he executed approximately $10 billion of acquisition and divestiture transactions globally. Juan began his investment banking career at Bear Stearns in its Financial Institutions Group. Prior to investment banking Juan worked in the Audit and Assurance Services practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he served clients in the nonprofit and financial services sectors.
Education
Juan holds an MBA with concentrations in Corporate Finance and Law & Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.
Not-For-Profit Affiliations
Juan is a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Audit Committee for Catholic Guardian Services, a non-profit organization serving New York City through a range of services, including those in the areas of child abuse and neglect prevention, family foster care, mental health, maternity services, and developmental disabilities.
