Jon Hammack is a Partner and serves as Head of Healthcare, focused on medical technology and devices. He joined the firm in 2021.
Experience
Jon has 20 years of healthcare investment banking experience and specializes in advising clients in the medical technology and outsourced services sectors. He has advised boards of directors and special committees as well as companies on a broad range of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, restructurings and capital raising solutions.
Prior to joining Solomon Partners, Jon was a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he spent eight years leading and expanding the firm’s medical technology sector. Before Moelis, Jon was a Managing Director and Head of Medical Technology at Morgan Stanley.
Over the past two decades, Jon has advised on numerous key healthcare transactions with total transaction value over $100 billion. Select recent M&A transactions include Zavation’s sale to Gemspring, Northfield Medical’s sale to Agiliti, Clinical Innovations’ sale to LABORIE Medical Technologies, Hu-Friedy’s sale to Cantel Medical, Invuity’s sale to Stryker, Zest Dental Solutions’ sale to BC Partners, Argon Medical’s sale to Shandong Weigao, Dentsply Sirona’s acquisition of MIS Implants, DENTSPLY’s merger with Sirona and Steris’ acquisition of General Econopak.
Education
Jon holds a BS from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
