Experience

James Butcher is a Managing Director in Technology. He joined the firm in 2024.

James has 18 years of investment banking experience, representing clients across the Media & Technology sectors on a variety of assignments, including sell-side, buy-side, divestiture and merger transactions, as well as debt and equity financing and restructurings.

Prior to joining Solomon Partners, James was a Managing Director in the Media & Technology sector at Moelis, acting as a trusted advisor to large corporations and mid-market companies, as well as financial sponsors, on a variety of transactions.

James has recently focused on the Information Services and Business-to-Business (B2B) subsectors, where his experience includes:
