Zhao Hu is a Vice President in Business Services. He joined Solomon in 2022.

Experience

Prior to joining Solomon Partners, Zhao worked in the healthcare M&A group at Lincoln International and at BMO Capital Markets focused on industrial clients across various sub-sectors. Zhao began his career at Morningstar as an Equity Analyst covering industrials, materials and energy companies. Over the course of his career, Zhao has advised on over 20 transactions representing an aggregate value north of $15 billion.

Select M&A transactions include IndeVet’s sale of growth equity to New Harbor Capital, AgroFresh’s sale of Convertible Preferred Equity to Paine Schwartz Partners, American Zinc Recycling’s sale of strategic interest to Glencore, North Coast Electric’s sale to Sonepar, and Unitrans’ sale to AIT worldwide logistics.

Education

Zhao holds an MBA with a focus on Analytic Finance, Economics and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Finance and Management Information Systems from Iowa State University.
