Solomon Partners Appoints Michael Gottschalk

As Managing Director in the Consumer Products Group

Michael GSolomon Partners, a leading investment banking advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Michael Gottschalk as a Partner and Managing Director covering the consumer products sector, including the food and beverage, personal and household care and consumer health sectors, among other areas.

Mr. Gottschalk has over 25 years of investment banking experience, most recently as a Managing Director at Rothschild.

Mr. Gottschalk’s appointment is the most recent of several high profile additions over the last 12 months as the firm continues its expansion.

Prior to spending 13 years at Rothschild, Mr. Gottschalk was a Managing Director at Lazard LLC, focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the consumer products and retail industries.

Before Lazard, Mr. Gottschalk held a similar position at Wasserstein Perella & Co. He previously was an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and began his career as a certified public accountant at Deloitte.

Mr. Gottschalk has advised numerous global strategic and financial clients in the consumer products and retail industries, including Beiersdorf, Dean Foods, Fonterra, Glanbia, Hero, Lala, McCormick, Nestle, Newell Brands and Saputo.

Mr. Gottschalk graduated from The State University of New York at Albany (B.S. Accounting) and the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D.).
